Medical Checkup Preparation
General Information

Guideline on fasting
- Fast for 12 hours for food and 8 hours for water.
- Please refrain from consuming food, medication, gum or smoking
- For those who will be receiving colonoscopy should refer to instructions for "colonoscopy"

Medication
- Antiplatelet agents and Anticoagulant: We recommend you to discuss with your doctor about the risk of cardio-cerebrovascular complications from stopping antithrombotic drugs and the allowable time for the discontinuation of your medicine.
- Diabetes medication: Stop medications and insulin injection from the night before the exam.
- Hypertensive medication, Anticonvulsants, Heart medication: Please take it with a sip of water early in the morning on the day of your checkup

Medical checkup period
- 3 days after the end of the period is a good time for the checkup.

Any chance you may be pregnant
- In order to avoid any possible exposure of radioactive rays to fetus, It is recommended to check your menstrual cycle to find out any possible pregnancy.
- Avoid radioactive exam during pregnancy.

Precautions for Pap smear
- Avoid using vaginal tablet for 3 days before the checkup.
- Avoid sexual intercourse and using cream for 24 hours before the checkup.
- Clean private parts shortly and avoid vaginal irrigation.
